Karen Knutsen, Editor A six-year staff member, Karen has worked in promotion and PR previous to being named Editor. Previously she was PR and Communications coordinator for a major AI firm in Madison, WI and before in a Pennsylvania field office. She grew up on her family's purebred Holstein farm in Maryland and holds a BS degree in animal science from the University of Delaware. She has energized the Holstein World editorial product and leads content development for the web site. |

JoDee Sattler, Associate Editor With a well-rounded career in ag journalism and public relations, Sattler has held staff positions on Midwest ag newspapers and in dairy producer organizations. She was an account executive in a leading Midwest based ag agency, Bader-Rutter, and has been published as a freelance writer and photographer in a variety of ag publications. In addition to her Midwest duties, she also edits the special Dairy Manure Management section and covers stories for Holstein World. |

Ron Goble, Associate Publisher/Editor Headquartered in Tulare County, California, the nation’s number one dairy county, Goble has spent a career in ag journalism. For 20 years he was the ag reporter/editor for the Visalia Times-Delta and The Fresno Bee, covering stories up and down the Central Valley of California. He has handled public relations for several organizations, including University of California’s Office of the President and UC Merced. More recently he served as a specialty crops editor for Vance Publishing. In addition to his work as Editor of Western DairyBusiness magazine, Goble plans the Dairy Profit Seminars at World Ag Expo, on the planning committee for the Western Dairy Management Conference and is Editor and Associate Publisher of the World Ag Expo Magazine. He has a BA in journalism from California State University, Fresno. |

Carolina Evangelo, Managing Editor Joining the team in 2006, Machado is a graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she was the outstanding dairy science senior and a member of the national champion dairy products judging team. Growing up on a California dairy where she showed cattle in 4-H and FFA, she held a variety of internships during her undergraduate career, with government, service and business organizations. She comes to her position from Agri-Tech Analytics of Visalia, CA where she was chief communications officer. |

Dave Natzke, Editorial Director With 20 years of experience in ag journalism and a solid background in production agriculture, Natzke served most recently as managing editor then dairy editor of Agri-View newspaper in Wisconsin. Earlier, he was on the staff of Wisconsin State Farmer. He has edited trade magazines in the construction and outdoor sports industries, also. Earlier in his career he worked in a variety of ag service businesses. He attended the University of Wisconsin – Madison and is a graduate of the Wisconsin Rural Leadership Program. He lives with his family in northeast Wisconsin, the heart of the new dairy belt there. Natzke is also lead editor for Dairy Profit Weekly newsletter, provides a weekly segment on DairyLine Radio and an regular news update on the DairyBusiness website. |

Susan Harlow, Managing Editor Before joining DBC in 1999, Harlow was editor of New England Farmer, published by Farm Progress Companies and was published as a freelancer in a variety of agricultural and consumer titles. She was also managing editor of Turf magazine. She has daily newspaper experience as well. A Vermont resident, Harlow too is an Oscar in Agriculture winner and has been recognized by the New York State Ag Society and the Northeast Farm Communicators. She holds a BA in English from the University of Vermont and earned a Masters in journalism with a minor in ag econ from the University of Wyoming. In addition to magazine duties, Harlow edits the Washington update carried in Dairy Profit Weekly. |
