Situated Advantageously in Provo, Utah, Store Continues Company’s 2019 Growth Spree
Damon Wood and his wife Michelle Wood first ventured 250 miles to Bruster’s Real Ice Cream to try premium ice cream. And after seeing its creation in the stores where it is served, the two began a plan: to make ice cream their living.
“After almost 20 years of teaching World History in high school, and my wife in marketing, we decided to use our degrees to open up a business,” Wood said. “For us it was all about the flavors. Bruster’s was the best tasting ice cream we’d ever had but we liked the family atmosphere equally as much. We decided to go for it.”
“On behalf of Bruster’s, we’re elated to welcome Damon and his family to the organization,” said CEO Jim Sahene. “At a corporate level we talk a lot about opening one great store at a time and that’s what Damon has done in Provo. We can’t wait to introduce our customers in Utah to treats that are A Scoop Above the Rest and are proud our selection of stores continues to grow.”
Featured flavors this month include Lemon Blueberry Cake and refreshing Key Lime Pie. Lemon Blueberry Cake is a new flavor launch comprised of lemon ice cream, blueberry swirl and pound cake pieces while Key Lime Pie, often referred to as one of Bruster’s best, incorporates complimentary essences of key lime ice cream with graham cracker swirls.
