Throughout the year, East Central/Select Sires, based in Waupun, Wis., and serving dairy and beef producers throughout southern Wisconsin, honors employees who hit certain milestones. In recent months, two East Central/Select Sires artificial insemination (A.I.) technicians, Rod Alton, Monroe, and Pieter Koopmans, Waunakee, achieved 100,000 A.I. services.
“All of our A.I. technicians have great career stories, and we enjoy celebrating them,” noted Jerome Meyer, East Central/Select Sires general manager. “For example, Pieter Koopmans has breed cattle in three different countries during his lifetime: the Netherlands, Libya, and the United States. Rod Alton has been part of the East Central/Select Sires family for more than 30 years, and now his son is with us, too.”
East Central/Select Sires recognizes employees with lunch parties at customer farms when they reach certain milestones, such as 100,000, 150,000, and 200,000 A.I. services. Rock-N-Hill-ll Holsteins, Juda, hosted Alton’s party, and Neldell Farms LLC, Wisconsin Dells, held the celebration for Koopmans’ milestone.
