An evening with Keystone dairy royalty

Pennsylvania crowns Brooke Emery as its 62nd dairy princess.

After three days of competition, Brooke Emery, 21, of Alexandria, was crowned the 62nd Pennsylvania Dairy Princess.

Emery beat out 25 county dairy princesses for the state title, and she will now represent the state’s top agriculture sector for the next year.

Contestants were judged on public speaking, dairy industry knowledge, poise and personality. They each had to prepare a speech, a radio spot, a poster display, and a recipe promoting milk and dairy products.

Two alternates, Samantha Haag of Mohrsville and Kara Stultz of Williamsburg, will help promote dairy at various events throughout the state.
