Chris Belz was recently named Vita Plus safety manager. Based in Madison, Wisconsin, Belz will develop, evaluate and implement safety standards in compliance with federal regulations for all Vita Plus facilities and employee owners. Belz will also train employees on these safety standards and provide safety resources for customers and staff.
Belz earned a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, as well as an advanced safety certificate from the National Safety Council. He has more than 17 years of safety experience, including as safety analyst for Swiss Colony and safety coordinator for Municipal
Electric Utilities of Wisconsin. Most recently, Belz served as the senior corporate safety specialist for Alliant Energy. In this role, he conducted corporate safety assessments of facilities, developed and revised corporate safety programs and standard operating practices in compliance with federal regulations, and provided SafeStart® training for all Alliant Energy employees.
