Company announces best-ever sales in May and three new stores
The company also recently opened three new stores in Ashburn, Virginia, Bowie, Maryland and Polaris, Ohio. All part of its strategic growth plan – to open one great store at a time – these locations complement an additional five stores currently under construction and a new store agreement in Charlotte, North Carolina, which takes total Bruster’s in North Carolina to 10. The combination of new stores and new store agreements top off a strong quarter of growth.
“We’ve had the privilege to experience the anticipation and excitement around new stores as we work through construction, finishing touches and grand openings,” Jim Sahene, Bruster’s CEO, said. “While it’s been a challenging time, we hope the new stores enable loved ones to come together safely and happily.”
“Throughout the past few months we’ve seen customers and stores display incredible resilience,” Sahene continued. “As we move deeper into the summer season, we hope to spend time together – as safe and permitted – to share in special moments. We’re fortunate to be in a business of scooping smiles and will continue to offer that to our local communities.”
As the company approaches its 31st anniversary on July 13, its momentum continues to grow with milestones including company-best sales in May.
