California Quota Meetings This Week

Every California dairy producer is invited to attend one of four meetings discussing the dairy quota program in the Golden State.  The two producer groups supporting and opposing quota  – United Dairy Families and Stop Qip – along with the three major dairy co-ops are in agreement supporting this effort.



Then on July 25, the two trade groups, Milk Producers Council and Western United Dairies, issued a statement joining the groups.  The release said [the trade groups] “join together in support of a process for dairy producers to have a statewide conversation about quota.”

The meetings are set as follows on these dates and locations:

  • Tuesday, July 30 – 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. – Embassy Suites, Ontario
  • Wednesday, July 31 – 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. – Heritage Complex, Tulare

2 p.m. – 4 p.m. – Turlock Ballroom

  • Thursday, Aug. 1 – 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. – Washoe House, Petaluma
