The COVID-19 pandemic has fundamentally changed the food system and consumer attitudes. The Center for Food Integrity (CFI) will address shifts happening in consumer purchasing behavior, the food system’s response and what’s ahead in 2021 during “CFI NOW: 2020 Epiphanies and Our Crystal Ball,” a one-hour webcast, Fri., Dec. 4, 12:30 p.m. CT.

Hosted by Charlie Arnot, CFI CEO, the webcast features Susan Schwallie, executive director of food and beverage consumption for the NPD Group, and Kevin Ryan, founder of Malachite Strategy and Research. Both Schwallie and Ryan are founding members of CFI’s Consumer Trust Insights Council, a group of consumer insights experts and social scientists who explore emerging trends, research and data to provide strategic direction for the food system.

Ryan and Schwallie will detail the latest consumer trend research and the rapid evolution taking place in the food industry. They will also share insights on which consumer behaviors will drive the food system in 2021.
