We did it! Thank you to all who celebrated, raised a glass and used the power of social media to make a difference by turning hashtags into real-life milk money. Through DFA Cares Foundation, we were able to meet our goal and donate 15,000 gallons of milk to The Great American Milk Drive with our #GiveMilkMoney social media campaign. This milk is helping bridge the nutritional gap for the millions of lower-income students who depend on free or reduced lunches during the school year, but don’t have access to the same programs during the summer.
Across the nation, DFA family farm-owners and employees worked together to raise awareness of the dairy community and share #GiveMilkMoney on their social platforms. From hosting visitors on farms and toasting World Milk Day with donuts, sharing silly photos with props to participating in fundraising events and volunteering at local food banks, DFA celebrated the goodness of dairy throughout June.
In addition, we received many generous monetary donations from across the country. We are still tallying the numbers, and will send an update with the total impact made. Thanks for a great June Dairy Month!
