Empire Farm Days and the Dairy Profit Seminars are coming in August

Planning is underway for the Dairy Profit Seminars at Empire Farm Days, the Northeast’s largest outdoor farm show slated by Aug. 6 – 7 – 8 at the Rodman Lott & Sons Farm near Seneca Falls, N.Y.  For nearly 25 years, the educational programs have been organized by DairyBusiness with support from leading commercial sponsors.  In recent years, the programming partner has been Cornell’s PRO-DAIRY team providing topics and speakers.

Tom Overton, Director of Cornell’s PRO-DAIRY, stated, “The Cornell PRO-DAIRY team has valued its longstanding relationship with DairyBusiness. DairyBusiness continues to be one of the leaders in bringing new technologies to media within the dairy industry and the Cornell PRO-DAIRY team is glad to continue to partner with them on the Dairy Profit Seminars at Empire Farm Days.  This partnership reflects our shared interest in bringing timely educational topics to the farms in the Northeast and we are grateful for the opportunity.”

For the 2019 event, once again DairyBusiness will work with PRO-DAIRY and the Northeast Dairy Producers Association.  According to DairyBusiness Editor Joel Hastings, “We will focus on the milk market and dairy economics with speakers from DFA Northeast and Agri-Mark, as well.”

The Junior Dairy Leadership graduation program will be shifted to Thursday, Aug. 8 and will get underway at 11 a.m. for students, family and friends.

The format will be adjusted to include shorter presentations interspersed with food, music and door prizes, according to David & Julie Parker, Managing Partners of DairyBusiness.

Sponsorships are still available, and the roster of speakers are being finalized.

DairyBusiness will also be producing the Show’s Official Program again this year.  The full color publication contains exhibitor lists, event schedules and complete details.  It’s mailed to over 20,000 top farmers in the Northeast and handed out to all show attendees.

Jamie Meyer, named show manager late last year, comments, “Our partnership with DairyBusiness has allowed us to produce high quality programs for our attendees and have a far-reach in the agricultural community. They bring quality and relevant programming to the Empire Farm Days community. The team approach to our partnership allows us to easily communicate various ideas and programs to best serve our mutual audience.”
