FARME Institute July 2019 Component Prices

July component prices increased $1.13/cow/day. The big winner was protein which increased $0.40/lb. Fat increased slightly and other solids decreased a little further. June PPD will likely decrease $0.79/cwt ($0.68/cow/day) resulting in a total change per cow of +0.45/day. Boston SUP should increase $0.50/cwt to $18.77/cwt. Our 12-month rolling projection for all milk price is $18.79/cwt (Boston), down $0.26/cwt from last month.

Class III milk trades between $16.60 and $17.68/cwt with an average of $17.03 (down 1.2%).

Cheese trades from $1.73 to $1.84 with an average of $1.77, down %1.7. NFDM trades from 1.04 to 1.17 with an average of $1.12 down 0.4%. Straight up!

Butter trades from $2.25 to $2.39 with an average of $2.30, down 2.4%. Whey trades from $0.358 to $0.372 with an average of $0.365 up 5.2%
