Free meetings connect community leaders, elected officials and farmers
Each meeting is free and open to the public. The events begin at 6:00 p.m. with a farm tour, followed by ice cream and facilitated discussions, concluding at 8:30 p.m.

Monday, August 27 – Kellercrest Holsteins, 1141 County Hwy JG South, Mount Horeb, Wis.
Brothers Tim and Mark Keller milk about 300 cows on the dairy farm, which was founded by their parents in the late 1960s. Over the years, they made improvements to barns, milking parlor and other facilities to enhance animal care and milk production.
Tuesday, August 28 – Miltrim Farms, 1715 W. Townline Road, Athens, Wis.
Miltrim Farms is a third-generation dairy farm currently milking 1,800 cows. The farm is owned by Tom and Lorene Mueller and Kathy Trimner and employ 34 community members and raise crops on about 4,000 acres.
Wednesday, August 29 – Brey Cycle Farm LLC, 2139 County Road O, Sturgeon Bay, Wis.
Brothers Tony and Jacob Brey are fourth-generation farmers who purchased their family’s century dairy farm from their parents in 2016. The farm has been in the Brey family since 1904. They milk nearly 500 cows and raise heifers for their farm and other clients. They are active in groups to preserve water quality, including Peninsula Pride Farms and the Door-Kewaunee Demonstration Farms Network.
Thursday, August 30 – Double S Dairy, N3447 Marshview Road., Markesan, Wis.
This first-generation dairy farm was started in 1993 by brothers Dan and Steve Smits. Double S Dairy is home to almost 1,400 cows, 400 bred heifers and 200 calves, and raises corn, alfalfa, soybeans and wheat along with vegetable crops.
