The January 22 Conference Call Will Feature Katie Burgess and a New Webinar Format
On Wednesday, January 22 at noon, the Center for Dairy Excellence will welcome Katie Burgess, Commodity Risk Analyst at Roger W. Blimling, Inc., as a guest speaker for the monthly “Protecting Your Profits” call. Led by Zach Myers, Risk Education Manager with the Center, the monthly call will provide a milk price outlook for 2020 and examine cow numbers, milk production trends, and more.
“With Katie’s experience working with dairy producers, processors and multi-national end users across the supply chain, she has unique insight on risk management,” said Myers. “Her knowledge and expertise can help Pennsylvania dairy producers examine their own risk management strategies for 2020.”
Katie Burgess joined the Roger W. Blimling team in 2012, a full-service dairy trading brokerage. After growing up on a Wisconsin dairy farm, Katie uses her passion for dairy to help her clients build and execute risk management strategies. She also tracks on-farm margins across the United States and closely monitors global milk production economics. She holds a master’s degree in agricultural and applied economics and a bachelor’s degree in agricultural business management, both from the University of Wisconsin.
New for the January 22 call, the Center will offer a webinar format for individuals who want to access this information digitally. There is no cost to participate in the ‘Protecting Your Profits’ webinar.
“We spent time throughout the last year asking producers how we could better tailor the ‘Protecting Your Profits’ calls to meet their needs and schedules,” Myers shared. “We look forward to launching the webinar on January 22.”
