I-29 Moo University 2018 Summer Dairy Tour

I-29 Moo University will host a dairy tour on Aug 3 at 9:30 AM CDT visiting Boadwine Dairy, near Baltic, SD and Crosswind Jerseys, near Elkton, SD.

Dairy producers and dairy employees should attend the I-29 Moo University Summer Dairy Tour, “Treat Me Right – Implementing Best Management Practices”. At each farm there will be several educational topics and demonstrations highlighting some of the key protocols that every farm should have in place regardless of size, including: euthanasia, low-stress handling, non-ambulatory animal handling, biosecurity planning, and newborn calf care.

Tour is open to the public and is sponsored by I-29 Moo University, which is a collaboration of SDSU Extension, University of Minnesota, Iowa State University, North Dakota State and University of Nebraska Extension; Iowa State Dairy Association; South Dakota Dairy Producers Association; Nebraska State Dairy Association; and Minnesota Milk Producers Association.
