Recently described by the BBC as “the physicist behind net zero”, Professor Myles Allen has been studying changes in global climate and risks of extreme weather since the early 1990s. He has served on the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change 3rd, 4th and 5th Assessments, most recently as Coordinating Lead Author on the IPCC Special Report on 1.5°C. In 2018, he led a team of international scientists in developing a modified methodology for measuring climate impacts, known as GWP* (GWP Star), which more accurately recognizes the climate impacts of both long- and short-term pollutants.
Professor Allen will join us for an important panel discussion on methane, climate science, policies, and strategies to achieve a climate-neutral dairy sector.
