Maurice E. Cooper, 88, of Moss Oak Farm, DeForest, Wis., died on April 21. He was a National Holstein Association member for over 65 years and attended many National Holstein Conventions as a state delegate. He served on the Boards of the Wisconsin and Dane County Holstein Associations, World Dairy Expo, the Wisconsin DHI Association, American Dairy Association and many more. Cooper received many honors during his life including the Wisconsin Holstein Association’s Distinguished Service Award and Distinguished Holstein Senior Breeder Award.
He was predeceased by his wife Gerry in May 2016. He is survived by his children: Bonnie, North York, Ontario, Canada; Donna (James) Humphreys, Clayton, MO; Barbara (Roger) Sherman, Twin Lakes, WI; William (Pamela) Cooper of DeForest, WI, who carry on the Moss Oak Farm; Raymond (Tracy) Cooper, Lakeville, MN; and David (Cindy) Cooper, Sun Prairie, WI; and their families.
