The National Association of Animal Breeders (NAAB) recognizes that the current COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the daily work life of all involved in the global AI industry.
Given these unique circumstances along with a non-standard sire evaluation in April 2020, the process of making decisions and updating the bulls that will be marketed will require more time than usual.
To accommodate the current needs of all organizations that are involved in marketing genetics, NAAB has revised its schedule during the April sire evaluation week to allow more time for companies to finalize their bull selection decisions.
Consequently, the public release of all sire lists – Active(A), Genomic(G) and Foreign (F) – will be moved to Friday at noon CDT, April 10th. Previously, the release of those files took place on the Thursday of sire evaluation week.
A schedule with the updated dates and times of release has been placed on the NAAB-CSS website (naab-css.org).
NAAB is the national trade association for artificial insemination businesses. NAAB members account for about 95% of dairy and beef semen sold in the USA and market semen to more than 100 countries around the world.
