ST. PAUL Minn. – Nancy Huls (Eggink) has been named vice president of research and insights for Midwest Dairy Association, a nonprofit in St. Paul funded by dairy farm families through the dairy checkoff. In her new role, Huls will work directly with the Midwest Dairy Foods Research Center on projects to help meet and grow consumer demand for dairy. She’ll also work to connect dairy food processors and companies with research and expertise surrounding dairy foods and consumer trends.
Huls was formerly a dairy category manager at Merieux NutriSciences, and spent nearly 10 years with 3M Food Safety. She has a long history of working globally with numerous dairy and food companies, including Kemps and Dean Foods.
Huls holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from South Dakota State University and a master’s in organizational management from the University of Phoenix. She is currently vice chair of the Dairy Quality and Safety Development Group for the International Association for Food Protection and a member of the Institute of Food Technologists.
Huls will be located at Midwest Dairy’s corporate office in St. Paul, beginning duties in May.
