National Mastitis Council teat lesion survey

National Mastitis Council (NMC)

The Teat Health Committee initiated a project at the 2020 National Mastitis Council meeting to gather information on herds facing a persistent problem with greater than five percent of their cows having one or more teats with an open lesion (as defined by the Teat Club International Scoring System). If you are associated with a herd with this type of problem please complete a National Mastitis Council member survey, listed under the member center, and then Teat Condition Portfolio and environmentally induced changes. All information submitted will be compiled and presented at a future Teat Health Committee without revealing the identity of the submitters. Non-members can contact Paul Virkler, DVM, Teat Health Committee Vice-chairperson.
