Neogen now offers an automatic battery-powered applicator that virtually eliminates inaccurate dosing and hand fatigue.
The innovative automed® medication delivery device can be used to accurately deliver injectable, pour-on, intranasal and oral medications, using either line feed or bottle mount connections. The device was engineered for use in the animal protein industries, and also offers an optional ability to easily track the delivery of medication via cloud-based software.
“We’re very pleased to offer the unique automed automatic medication delivery device to our customers. There is simply nothing else like it,” said Neogen’s Brad Galbreath. “The ergonomic benefit of using an automatic syringe is very pronounced, especially to users who deliver hundreds of treatments in a single day. Dosing accuracy is also critical. It’s wasteful, costly and potentially dangerous to overdose an animal, and underdosing fails to provide the animal adequate treatment.”
With automed, producers can view treatment records, track treatments, monitor device health and check for dose validation on handheld devices (tablets, mobile phones and watches) as well as desktop computers. Data can be stored in a cloud and accessed both on and offline at any time.
