It’s almost time for the 53rd World Dairy Expo and a few exciting additions have been finalized, according to Expo officials.
USDA Secretary Sonny Purdue on opening morning, Tuesday, Oct. 1 at 8 a.m., U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue will appear in the Mendota 2 meeting room in the Exhibition Hall for a town hall address open to all Expo attendees, exhibitors and members of the media.
Following the town hall, Secretary Perdue will have a brief period for media availability before walking through the Trade Show. Tom Vilsack, President and CEO of U.S. Dairy Export Council On Friday, Oct. 4, Tom Vilsack, former ag sectary and current CEO of the U.S. Dairy Export Council will speak on “The Future of Dairy Exports: Responding to Challenges and Creating Opportunities.” This discussion will take place in the Mendota 4 meeting room in the Exhibition Hall at 9 a.m. The session will be preceded with coffee, rolls and Wisconsin cheese, compliments of Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin, beginning at 8:30 a.m. and will conclude with a short audience question and answer session
