Select Sires adds Brown as Facilities Operations Manager
PLAIN CITY, Ohio, October 17, 2017 —Select Sires Inc., is excited to announce the addition of Dr. David Brown as facilities operations manager for the Roger L. Ripley Production Center in Westby, Wis. Brown will oversee all day-to-day operations at the facility.
Brown is a graduate of Iowa State University with degrees in Zoology (B.S.) and Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.). After an 18-year career as a self-employed veterinarian, Brown joined the Accelerated Genetics team as staff veterinarian in January of 2008. During his time there, Brown was responsible for the semen export documentation team, semen export qualifications, compliance with USDA/APHIS export regulations, as well as health testing and welfare of 700 CSS qualified bulls housed at the Westby facility.
“I’m extremely pleased to be back in Westby, Wis., with most of the old team, along with some excellent new additions. Brown is a member of the American Association of Bovine Practitioners (AABP), American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association (WVMA). In his down time, he serves as a home Bible study teacher and is a member of the United States Cycling Federation. He and his wife, Jodie, have one son, Stephen.
