ABOUT:
Wisconsin produces 48 percent of the specialty cheese in the U.S. and wins more national and international cheese awards than any other state or country.  In fact, Wisconsin was the first state to establish cheese grade standards, and also the first to require that every cheese plant be overseen by a licensed cheesemaker. In addition, Wisconsin is the only place outside Europe where one can pursue an elite Master Cheesemaker certification.
