This year’s Farm Credit East interns include five students attending Cornell University: Anna Brzozowski, Kimberlee Dolhon, Maiya Gibbs, Sara Millspaugh and Austin Weaver; three SUNY Cobleskill students: Thomas Coene, Eric Kostka and Daniel Kneller; two SUNY Morrisville students: Kennedy Cox and Jessica van Lieshout; along with Alec Barkett, Siena College; Sean Finucane, Rutgers University; Dillon Nimako, SUNY Oswego; Brandon Stitzel, Pennsylvania State University; Trevor Wasik, Niagara University; and Bryan Walker, SUNY Brockport.
“Our internship program serves as an excellent recruiting tool to maintain Farm Credit East’s commitment to Northeast agriculture,” said Briana Beebe, Farm Credit East Director of Human Resources. “Our internship advisors put together a well-rounded experience so that each intern is exposed to agriculture native to that area.”
Interns are recruited from college campuses across the Northeast. On many of these campuses Farm Credit East has established relationships with campus organizations such as Future Farmers of America (FFA), Farm Credit Fellows and 4-H. The organization also utilizes their network of customer and employee referrals to recruit interns and employees.
