Dear Dairy Community,
Thank you for participating in our advocacy on the 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.
Thanks to your efforts, we preserved three daily servings of dairy and dairy as a separate food group in the new DGAs. We made sure dairy was included in the healthy foods category alongside fruits and vegetables, where it belongs.
We saw to it that dairy was considered essential for children during the first 1,000 days of life. And we positioned dairy at all fat levels—now a key recommendation for children 12-23 months of age—to be recognized in future DGAs for positive health outcomes.
We couldn’t have done it without you. Over the past two years, you gave us guidance, helped us draft our positions, supported our testimony and letter-writing campaigns, and gave us new ideas to help get the job done.

Thank you. This is how we make a difference for dairy.
