Thursday at the National Holstein Convention Tour Day
Thursday was Host Day at national convention. Members chose one of three tours across the greater Seattle area. Below are pictures from the farm tour. Other tours included the Seattle downtown tour and the whale watching tour.
Farm tours started at Sildahl Farms, breeders of renowned bulls such as Sidahl BW Dutch Boy-ET, Sildahl Airraid, and Sidahl Jett Air-ET, as well as two All-Americans. The next stop was Ronelee Farm where members of the Dabble family were on display, including sisters and family members of Domain-ET, Detour-ET,
Digger-ET, Alta Ace High, and SS Fire. Last on the days tour was Markwell Holsteins Home of the Ravens and the worlds best raspberries. They displayed
a collection of some of Washingtons finest cows (they no longer milk so showed a collection of cows from the area) in the state for the day, and demonstrated their raspberry operation in action picking a few rows to show visitors how it was done. Finishing the tour off with raspberries and ice cream.
Enjoy a few pictures from the Ronelee, Markwell, and the family night at the Flight museum near the Boeing aircraft facility in Seattle.
