Top Ten Milk Producing States in May 2018

USDA estimates milk production in the 23 top producing states increased 0.9% in May 2018, compared with May 2017.  USDA reports California production increased 0.5% compared to the same month in 2017 with 30 lbs. more milk per cow but 18,000 fewer cows.

Six of the top ten milk producing counties in the U.S. are in California.  As of December 2017, they are listed here showing the percent of total U.S. production each accounts for.
