Wolfe’s Neck Center for Agriculture and the Environment opens new Organic Dairy Training Facility

This facility – and the training program it supports – was developed in partnership with Stonyfield Organic and is designed to support the next generation of Organic Dairy farmers





 

WHAT: Ribbon Cutting and dedication of a new Organic Dairy facility. The event will include a short program with remarks by Britt Lundgren, Director of Organic and Sustainable Agriculture, Stonyfield Farm, the world’s leading organic yogurt producer; Amanda Beal, Commissioner of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry, State of Maine; and Wolfe’s Neck Center leadership, Dave Herring, Executive Director and Fiona Wilson, Board Chair.

WHEN: Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m.





 

WHERE: New Organic Dairy Facility, 110 Burnett Rd., Freeport, Maine

INTERVIEWS/VISUALS: Interviews with Lundgren, Beal, Wilson and Herring about the importance of this new facility and program can be arranged immediately following event.  Tours of the facilities and further discussion on this unique partnership will also be available.
