US Farm Systems Sold to the Valmetal Group

US Farm Systems, the manufacturer of manure handling and wastewater treatment systems founded and operated by Rejean Houle and his family, announces its sale to Valmetal Group, based in Quebec, Canada.

In describing the transaction, Rejean Houle said while he’s proud of the success of his company, he is even more excited about the new opportunities with Valmetal.  He and his son, Jean, will continue to direct the operations of the business, working with the firm’s 90 employees in California. His son, Alain, who has extensive sales experience in the Far East will relocate to Valmetal headquarters in Quebec.

Houle said, “Yvon Vallieres, president of Valmetal, Inc., and I are cut from the same cloth of those who developed their companies by listening to the needs of our clients and developing innovative equipment to facilitate farm work.  My sons and I are eager to help expand the business with the Vallieres family.”

Founded in 1983, the Valmetal group has five companies and 400 employees with a network of 250 dealers offering the Valmetal and  Jamesway lines of feeding and manure spreading equipment and upright silos in North America and 25 countries.

US Farm Systems was founded in Wisconsin in 1979 and relocated to its Tulare, Calif., facilities in 1983.
